You See many times The Word "AAA Games". What is AAA Game? And what is the Actually Means of AAA Game? basically "High-Quality Games Like Grand Theft Auto V and Witcher 3, and others are Called AAA Games". but the question is What is AAA Game? What type of game is called AAA Game? and what is the meaning of the word AAA?

Meaning of AAA/AAA Games

I want to tell you this first there's no full or any kind of form of Word "AAA". and no meaning of the word AAA. The Word AAA is only the Title for Games. this Title (AAA) Represents the Quality and Big Budget of High-Quality Games. and you may also know that now the games looks like action Movies because these have Action and Amazing story. 

Investment for triple (AAA) Games

And making this kind of game we need a team and specific gadgets for this we need to invest money for making High-Quality games. also for this, the High-Quality Games are called AAA Games. Big companies make these games they have money to invest for Games. so we can say that Games That take big money and Need a Team to Become a Reality are Called AAA Games.

History of AAA/AAA Games

the Main Question is, why High-Quality Games are called AAA Games? Why can't use some other word for High-Quality Games?

We know that before the invention of the Internet, The Game has just simple ideas and Gameplay. they have no Good graphics. but after the invention of the Internet and Consoles, the Graphics of Games becomes Good. game companies make games with good graphics and good quality. and the company Sony and Electronic Arts Provide us with Good games after one and one. and these games become successful in the past. with the success of these past games here are new games are available in large amounts. 

Nintendo

for this, the company needs a Grading System for differentiating between good and bad games. at that time The company Nintendo is the king of gaming, they publish their games with a stamp, which represent the Good quality Game of Nintendo. this stamp system was good profitable for Nintendo. and after arising a console and another system there's a need for a title for every kind of Game because the stamp of Nintendo is only for Nintendo games.

First Use of AAA 

the Word AAA first time Use in A Gaming Convention. and this word takes from the US study Grading System. because the word A Represent a high level. so for this, they use the word A for Games which represents the Good Quality of Games. most of the Player is Students and they are very happy with this word. the Word AAA Represent Three Different types of Means:

Triple-AAA

  • A - Quality 
  • A - Financial Success
  • A - Innovation  

We can imagine the quality and innovation of the game by seeing the trailer of the game before realizing but we can see the financial success of the game after releasing the Game and if all means of AAA Are Success so the Game is AAA. the meaning of Word AAA Changes as the Time. now the title of AAA is already given before the Releasing of the Game. because now the Word AAA is only used for Marketing.

AAA Games

if we see that the indie games called AA Games because in Indie games we can see the innovation and Some indie games are also financially Successful so they can call AA Games. but here are some AAA games that's got record-breaking Success, with their innovation, financial success,s, and good quality. These are some examples of AAA Games.

  • 1. GTA Games ( specially Gta4 and Gta5) have good innovation and good quality. also, these games are Financial successful. GTA Games Provides us open world Gameplay so we can enjoy This.
  • 2. Witcher 3 is also financially successful and has a good storyline. Witcher 3 is a Good Quality Game That provides us a fantasy world so we can explore and can enjoy this Fantasy world.
  • 3. Devil may cry 5 and Resident Evil 2   Devil make cry 5 gives us Action Gameplay and Resident Evil 2 Gives us Horror Action Gameplay.
